Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a unique, earthy edible natural powder made from Diatoms, single celled plant organisms (algae or phytoplankton), from South America.
DE contains high levels of silica. It also contains 15 essential trace minerals including phosphorous, selenium, calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, copper, zinc and iron.
Food grade DE is a natural powder that works in a purely physical/mechanical way, not "chemical" and therefore has no chemical toxicity. Food grade DE also has no odour. Due to its glass like structure, it is known for ridding the body of parasites, as it feels like 'walking on glass' when parasites come into contact with DE.
